In Memory

Bob White

Bob White

Dear LFHS friends of Bob White. He passed away Friday night, suddenly.  When we got off our cruise, he had a bad cough,  so we got cough syrup and lozenges. That gave a little relief. The day after we got home,  Bob went to Immediate Care. The meds helped somewhat.  On Friday,  Bob wasn't coughing much. We had dinner, watched TV, and he went upstairs around 9 pm. When I went up at 11, he was unresponsive. Paramedics worked on Bob for 30 minutes but never got a pulse. I know he spoke with each of you and enjoyed the friendships. Bob will be cremated and we'll have a memorial in late spring. If you Art Buckley, please call him. He and Bob were best friends, and he's having difficulty dealing with his loss. Barb  White

My condolences to the family of Bob White. I will miss him as we were pretty close back in school. He was always there to help anyone who needed it and to offer support. May you rest in peace Bob.

I was a new LFHS student in our junior year.  He made me feel welcome and enjoyed MYF together.

Bob and I weren't close during our high school days, but during the past three or four years we developed a friendship as we tried to plan a reunion for our class. We shared many emails, telephone calls and had a few meetings. Lots of laughs and good memories were shared. We were planning on getting together this summer in Lake Forest to have lunch and tour the city. I was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. It's another reminder of how precious life is and why we need to cherish every day. I will really miss Bob and regret that we didn't enjoy that day together this summer. My thoughts and prayers are with Barb and those close to Bob.

Bob and I worked on the last two mini-reunions together through phone calls and emails. It was always such a joy to communicate with him. He was truly focused on trying to get our classmates together in order for us to keep in touch in our later years. Knowing how active he was and so full of energy, it is very difficult to learn of his passing. My deepest condolences go out to Barb and Art. He was an awesome man who will be greatly missed.

Barb..I am so shocked and devastated. He seemed so healthy and vibrant at our mini lunch reunion last summer. We worked together and became closer friends each year we planned our major reunions. He was always helping with the mini LF day reunions and the lunch reunions too. He is one of the nicest, kindest people I know!! I will truly miss him!! My heart breaks for you! Sending my deepest sympathy and prayers. Fondly, Michele

Like Fred, Bob and I weren't real close during our high school years. Bob and I got to know each other better at our 2011 class reunion. That November Marilynn and I joined Bob and Barbara  on a Caribbean Cruise. We all had a great time doing things together on ship and shore. I was also sad and shocked by Bob's sudden passing. I share in sympathy with Barbara and all those who were close to him. Jack

Oh this is so sad. My time with Bob on the wrestling team was our bonding period. I will miss him.

So sorry to hear the bad news. I was at the mini reunion luncheon at Jameson's a few months ago with Bob and other alums. Bob was a super nice guy and I will miss him.  RIP
